In 2019, Kindergarten Readiness Entry Profile (KREP) data, collected via a standardized test of those entering Kindergarten, was released showing that over 50% of students entering Kindergarten in Gwinnett County were not ready to access the curriculum. An initiative of advocates, educators, and leaders set out to change that.

Our secondary method for targeting parents was through hyper-targeted print materials. This includes posters, postcards, new parent booklets, bags gifted at hospitals that include onesies and board books, as well as bookmarks included in free book boxes throughout the community.

2023 impact report.

In its first four years, including the untrackable COVID year, the brand’s impact was evident, with a 5% decrease in the number of students arriving unprepared for the Kindergarten. Many of those students positively impact come from historically underserved populations that have more difficulty accessing high quality resources and programming.
